Fourth Saturday gaming!

I plan on being there, although not till later. I will bring Ora & Labora. I've read the rules but a game should take probably 3 hours or so. So anyone who is up for that.

I've heard some interesting things about this game, and would be interested in checking it out and playing against someone or a group of some people. Things would work best for me on just a weeknight. If anyone else would be interested. I'm near McLean, but open to wherever would work. Let me know.

Shutdown for gaming

I am part of the government shutdown, and next week I am on a forced vacation. Since I do not have any plans at this time, if there is anyone else that would like to come over to my place (I'm in Tysons) for some gaming during the day, let me know. Or anything else, like seeing a movie or whatever, got more free time than plans at this point. Reply with thoughts and we can figure something out.

I haven't selected brown yet on any games on the site. I feel like it would require a board set up for it correctly, and then I feel like they would be better served when going first, so you have the last placement. I think the last placement is a much larger advantage than a double placement. I feel like if you are going to do turn order in game, it would be interesting to allow placement choices, even a round robin or choosing when to place would be really interesting to me. I think if you did allow for something like that. That the choice to place last would be the first thing picked every time.

Yeah, I guess that does make sense, I was thinking it was the opposite. Playing on site does kinda remove some knowledge of setup process. I did see you can view any finished games for each race. I am going to look over the races I haven't played much and see how uniform their play is.

Any interest in a casual MMO group?
|
I have a tough time making a schedule work for gaming on Saturdays. A bunch of you on this forum are not local. So I thought maybe a way we could all get together on a regular basis would be in an MMO. There are lots of free to play games out there that do not have that high requirements as far as a PC goes. The idea would be some sort of regular schedule that could accommodate as many as possible, or if that doesn't work could have multiple groups, but that can come later, first want to know if there is interest. I know there are some games that friends can play together no matter their actual level (but I'll look into the actual games more if this goes forward). So if you are interested let me know thoughts.
As far as games go. I'd be up for : (in no real order)
- Star Wars: The Old Republic
- Lord of the Rings Online
- Guild Wars 2
- Marvel Heroes
(lots of others)
(I have thought we could do board games online as well, but I just don't feel like playing board games online has the same appeal for me, when not play by email).
