I got a chance to play Marco Polo last game day and enjoyed that a fair bit... hopefully someone can bring a copy. But I'm up for most anything, of course.
Anyone have a particular game they'd like to try?

Doug Hoylman Our friend and fellow gamer Doug Hoylman passed away on November 2nd of a heart attack. Doug was unfailingly a pleasure to be around and he'll be missed.

In addition to being a board gamers, Doug was very well known and a frequent champion in the crossword scene:

Thanks to Bob Jones via Rick B, who shared the memorial information below.

Memorial information:
The memorial for Doug Hoylman will be next Tuesday, November 17, from 7:15PM to 9PM in the rental room at his condominium. Although he'll be heading back to Montana before then, Doug's brother, Rick, has generously paid for the room. There will be some refreshments.

The Willoughby
4515 Willard Ave.
Chevy Chase

There won't be a formal ceremony, but there will be an opportunity to speak and share memories of Doug. And if a game or two happens to break out, I'm sure Doug would have appreciated it. :-)

The website for the building is here: http://www.thewilloughbychevychase.com/

Directions are here: http://www.thewilloughbychevychase.com/directions/

There is limited guest parking available in the building, but there are a couple of nearby parking garages. Also, the building is within a reasonable walking distance from the Friendship Heights metro station.

gaming, 11/14 I would like to give my thanks to all of you and do so by... hosting a game day! Gaming is on for tomorrow as normal.
I have a few new games that I got on a whim, not sure what I'll know how to play:
Hyperborea, La Isla, Greenland, Among Nobles
They sound like fun!
Who's coming? What do you want to play?

An unrealized annivesary I was just going over some old email and realized that this year was the 10th anniversary of when ABG (and I, of course) relocated from 1405 Taft St to my current condo.
Out of curiosity, who here remembers the old place?
12/4/2015 4:56:27 PM
An unrealized annivesary I'm surprised it was easier at all, that area was 'denser' than my current one, though with the building up around me, it's only a matter of time before it catches up.

Gaming for 12/12 Well, now, looks like this Saturday is a game day! Fancy that!

I have an outstanding order for:
Between two Cities
Favor of the Pharaoh
Fields of Arle
which is supposed to come in Saturday. I also have the new 'Through the Ages' and a new version/expansion of 'fleet'.

New Year's Eve Gaming 12/31 Who would be interested with bringing in the new year (or, close to it, if you're not a stay late type of folk) at ABG?
I have the 31st off, so I can start at 1pm if anyone is able to join that early.
So, who's interested? When would you be able to come by?
I'll probably skip the champagne thing this year (unless anyone requests otherwise), though I'll have some sparkling grape juice which is probably still good, heh.

New Year's Eve Gaming 12/31 Ok, I'll open up at 1pm, figure on Marvin to get there around then and Rick and Jeff to get there around 2. With everyone welcome whenever, of course.
