I've just posted a session report on BGG for the game of Through the Ages played last Saturday by John, Nate, and me. I remember there was a crowd of spectators watching Nate's gutsy culture-only strategy unfold. and I'll bet you'd like to know how everything turned out in the end. Now you can.

Thanks for the report. It was all I could do to apply my meager brain cells to our own game, I didn't even notice what was going on over there.

Thanks for providing that link, Kevin.
Rob, I understand you lost a squeaker to Aaron because you didn't realize in time that you could have built two Age III wonders. That's more than enough reason for missing what was going on around you. Incidentally, if you had pulled it out with a second Age III wonder, I think that would've been a report-worthy game itself. I haven't seen anyone do that yet.

Aaron had a well deserved win, successfully negotiating between military problems and card problems and two grouchy opponents (I need to stop playing so late). I was so tired, I actually missed 4 points because one of my colonies was off to the side and I forgot to count it.
Two wonders is quite doable with either lots (4+) coal, or Tesla. I think my mistake was in actually grabbing Tesla, it was too late to really help. Newton was doing just fine.
