4/27 gaming I’ll be doing Game Days tomorrow- but I’ll be at the BEST place for gaming at 1 on Saturday!
If I am motivated to acquire something new on Friday I will bring it along.

5/11 gaming is on! I will be getting a late start tomorrow. I’m judging the Maryland National History Day exhibits in the morning. I hope to be in Arlington by 2:30.

June 8? Tomorrow is a second Saturday, right? If someone has Wingspan, I would love to learn it. Any other highlights from beach week?

4th Saturday, June 22 gaming is on! My copy of Wingspan just arrived. I will bring it along, but also interested in Coimbra or Teotihuacan or even another shot at the new London

Lorenzo for Steam on kickstarter Did anyone else get delivery of the Steam version of Lorenzo this weekend? Are you interested in trying an online game on Saturday or Sunday?

July 13th - A lucky day of gaming? I have new cards - Pazzi Conspiracy deck for Lorenzo if anyone wants to try it. Seeking advice on new educational game my team is developing to go with our upcoming Scrap Yard exhibit. Be there at 1.

Gaming while it's hot! 8/10 I’ll be there at 1. Up for Wingspan, Teotihuacan or maybe something newer still

Gaming 8/24 I will be there but I can only stay until 5:30. Open to trying something new, though so far 2019 has not been that exciting. Of the relatively recent (2017+), I think my favorites remain Coimbra, Lorenzo and Great Western Trail. But that doesn't mean I am not up for revisiting something older - like Last Will or even El Grande.

9/14 gaming with an old friend! Looking forward to next Saturday. I suspect I will have to miss the 28th, which makes me sad not only because I will miss Phil... but because I really want to learn Tapestry! In the meantime it's been a couple of sessions since I last played Great Western Trail (with extension?), Lorenzo (with extension?) or Tenotihuacan. Open to other ideas as well.

October 12 - 1st Saturday gaming! Tomorrow is my birthday AND it is Yom Kippur. So after I finish repenting for 67 years of sins... I'll be really ready for some gaming! Count on me being there at 1pm (sporting a Jack Nicholson/Chinatown look thanks to some recent surgery on my schnozz). My first choice to celebrate the occasion would be to learn Tapestry or maybe Paladins of the West Kingdom if either is available. Always up for Lorenzo, Coimbra, Grand Austrian Hotel or Wingspan.

November 9th gaming! I’ll be there. Going to Euroquest on the 8th, but I’m finally ready to skip my annual disappointment at failing to score a game in Saturday night’s prizes. May sublimate by buying a lottery ticket.

November 9th gaming! I would like to try Tapestry again.

I played four new games at Euroquest yesterday but none of them were yet available in the Canton Games shop. I thought two were worth playing again (Crystal Palace and Its a Wonderful World). One may have just been poorly taught (La Stanza) and one was just a waste of cardboard (Quantitative Easing). I also sat in of the rules for the new Alexander Pfister game (Maracaibo) but I didn't get a chance to play. In general, it gave me some hope that folks have not run out of creative new ideas.

November 23rd, Thanks for the games! I’ll be there. Pretty open to ideas but I’ll need to finish by 6.

December 14th - cancelled! My apologies Can’t wait for Saturday... six hours when Ukraine only appears in Risk, and we don’t play Risk. I would like to learn Paladins but I am open to other opportunities.

December 14th - cancelled! My apologies John, hope your mom is OK. I know logistics can get complicated. Looking forward to the 28th.

Dev 28th, last Saturday game day of the DECADE! Hey, a decade is just "ten years" so I think we're free to start wherever we want. For example, when I think of the 60s ... it runs from the assassination of President Kennedy in 1963 to the resignation of Richard Nixon in 1974. The Billboard top 20 songs for 1961 included the theme from Exodus by Ferrante and Teicher and "Where the Boys Are" by Connie Francis (extending the 50s sound)... by 1964 the list is dominated by the Beatles, the Beach Boys and Motown - genuinely 60s music. So I vote that we wait a few years to assess when the last decade began, let alone when it ended - and just use it as an excuse to play games.

Now if I really wanted to start a debate, we could try to assess the best 10 games in the last ten years. My candidates include Lorenzo, Great Western Trail, Grand Austria Hotel, Tz'olkin, Castles of Burgundy, Scythe, Yokohama, Seven Wonders (with a 2010 release) and Wingspan for its good looks and Azul (because man does not live by complex strategy alone). I also want to put in a vote for Founding Fathers (I think it was also 2010) ... as my favorite game of the decade that is unlikely to be on anyone else's list.

I would be willing to play any of these as a Grand finale to 2019... in fact, I'd even be up for an El Grande finale. But I agree, no "Bangs", no "Ubongos" ... if there was a board game named "whimper" that might be an appropriate way to end this year....we might have to settle for "Obsession."

1/11/2020 I am getting a bunch of late Hanukkah gifts (to myself) including Crystal Palace... which I'd love to play but no longer need to bring.... Azul Summer Pavilion, Rails and Sails, and the European expansion of Wingspan. I would be happy to play any of these.

February 8th gaming! I'll be there. I would be interested in a second try at Crystal Palace. Rick taught me "It's a Wonderful World" at Euroquest... I'd be interested in getting a second shot at that one too. I looked at the video for Bus ... it seemed interesting.

2-22 gaming! I can't think of a better way to celebrate a palindrome day than with my pals. I'll be there at 1. I'd be interested in learning (or re-learning) a western kingdoms game. I also have a hankering to play a classic from the last decade (e.g. Lorenzo, GWT or Scythe).

Covid-19 and Gaming this Saturday - cancelled I really want to come. But having spent nearly the whole day managing the impact of fears of COVid 19 on my museum., I am a little gunshot. Unlike most of you, I am part of the age cohort identified as “at risk”. I think that prudence dictates that I pass.

I am curiously if any of you have Terraforming Mars or Through the Ages as an app. I have yet to play an online game, but I’d be interested in giving it a try. Maybe we could set up a time to play
