Gaming, 6/11 - On!

Feels like months since the last game day!
Who's on for gaming this Saturday, the 11th? I picked up a copy of Food Chain Magnate and have played it once... I liked it, but it's long.

Summer gaming - 6-25
|
The first game day of summer is near! Who is going to beat the heat at my place, for some cool (attitude wise) gaming?
we'll start at 1pm.. who is coming?
I picked up a copy of "City of Iron" and "The Ancient World ". I probably won't know how to play, but they look interesting.
For those that haven't been to my place in the summer, it can get a little warm, due to the building wide convection cooling, just FYI.

July 4th Gaming

Who would be interested in some gaming on the 4th of July this year?
As the old timers know, I used to have an apartment that had a good view of the fireworks downtown, so I would host gaming and we'd watch from there. The firework view is mostly gone (you can see some tiny displays on the horizon), but the tradition continued!

Any interest in a casual MMO group?

I'm not sure how much reach this has to folks that have moved away, not sure many of them follow the boards any more.
I'm interested in guild wars 2... I actually bought a copy a while back to play with Kevin and Brent, but then never actually tried it. I'm willing to try others, as well... I'm not sure how much time I'd be willing to put into it, outside of joint adventures, though.

I picked up a copy of a new deck builder with some interesting mechanics (Mystic Vale) that I can probably teach, I played it once at the Game Haven.

For any of you that don't know, there's some kind of DC based convention coming up soon, http://www.washingcon.com/ - Sept 10-11. They say they are expecting more than 1000 attendees, which I think is pretty exciting... it's always nice to see more opportunities in the area.
Unfortunately, it conflicts with my game day, so I don't plan to attend (the 2nd Saturday is STILL ON). It's also seems to center around lighter games than I like to focus on. But if anyone goes, let us know how it turns out!

I had the game buying bug because of a geeklist I was reading, so I ordered a bunch of games:
Patchistory, Forge War, The new Mare Nostrum, Prodigal's club, ZhanGuo, Diluvia project, Sansoucci, Port Royale, Die Palalste von Carrara
Some of which will arrive by Saturday, though who knows if I'll know how to play them.
