4th Saturday gaming, 1/23 Following up on the excellent game day this past Saturday, I thought I'd follow up with another on the 4th Saturday. Why not?
(Note that the 23rd is a week from this Saturday, lest anyone get confused by the unusually early post)
Who plans on being there and what would you like to play?
I was happy to get Orleans to the table this last week, where I think we decided that the 'get a cog' building was unstoppable at our current level of play, two games in a row that I was in, that building ran away with the game by a wide margin. We are contemplating using the 'each player removes one building' recommended (in the game itself) variant next time to potentially get rid of it.
I would also like to try German Railroads and I'm still up for Marco polo, with or without the expansion.

4th Saturday gaming, 1/23 January 30th is a GCOM 5th Saturday event and generally open invitation, I believe. Reach out to Rick if you are interested (or me and I can redirect it to Rick).
I would say that gaming is looking unlikely at this point. Obviously, I'll still be around, so if anyone is looking to brave it out, let me know (or, of course, if the snow fizzles).
Maybe we can work in an online/ipad game or two as a pseudo game day...

2nd Saturday gaming, 2/13 This Saturday is a game day! The 2nd Saturday of February... Hopefully with no snow, though it is supposed to be cold... perfect day for gaming!
I know there are plans afoot to start History of the World at 1pm, but that is tentatively full, so I need some folks to show up at 1pm so I have someone to game with!
Who's planning on coming by? What would you like to play?
I picked up my own copy of German Railroads and Mombasa, I'd be up for either of those, or most anything!
This post needs more exclamation points!!!
(edited to have not today in the title... wishful thinking affecting my typing!)

Ongoing - Delivery Restaurant Opinions Since I'm not very good at keeping track via written word what places we like and don't like, I thought I'd put up a sticky thread to keep track. Feel free to post any opinions on delivery restaurants for ABG games days, including opinions on individual dishes. Suggestions for places are also welcome. I'll try to update this head post occasionally with the compiled results.

Kenji - Overall: Average-Poor, avoid Pad See Ew
Scott - Horrible Pad See Ew (2-13-16)
Ed - Very good (vegetarian dish) (2-13-16)
Bob - Bad (2-13-16)

Thai curry
Scott - 9/10 (2-26-16)
Larry - 7/10 (2-26-16)

Sawatdee

was OK, but was missing many of the classic Thai dishes, which gave it a thumbs down from Scott (and maybe others)

Thai Square

John and Larry tried it 7/4/16 to good review. My appetizer was very good, the beef red curry was pretty good, but I would have liked spicier.

New to the area Hey, Brad! (and Chris) We do indeed game the 2nd and 4th Saturdays, but not other days (well, except for the 4th of July and New Year's Eve).
You are welcome to come join us! We run the full gamut of game weight, but middle to heavy is the most common.
I will send you more information by email.

4th Saturday gaming - Feb 27th Another game day looms! This one conflicts with Prezcon, but we're still a go, as I don't plan to attend this year.
We'll start at 1pm. Who is planning on coming by?
What do you want to play?
2/26/2016 2:00:13 PM
4th Saturday gaming - Feb 27th I would be interested in Nippon, I almost bought it just based on the good opinions I've heard.
2/26/2016 3:50:40 PM
4th Saturday gaming - Feb 27th I am also interested in Golden Ages.. another that I almost bought based on BGG reviews and the civ-building theme. Plus, 90 minutes playtime.

Spring approaches, time for some gaming! 3-12 2nd Saturday in March approaches! Supposed to be nice weather this week, but right now Saturday is the chilliest and highest chance of rain... perfect for board gaming!
Who is planning on coming by? What would you like to play?

Spring approaches, time for some gaming! 3-12 I would like to learn Glen Moore... or Legacy: Gears of Time if you are feeling adventurous.
3/23/2016 2:38:42 PM
Fourth Saturday gaming, 3/26 Thrills! Chills! More games that you know what to do with!!
Who is up for a totally FREE* day of gaming?!
I figured we'd aim for, oooh, this Saturday, starting at, say, 1pm? How does that sound?
Will I see you? What do you want to play?

* Surcharges may apply

Fourth Saturday gaming, 3/26
Given the date... I'd love to get a game of Merchant of Venus in.

What is the relation between the 26th and Merchant of Venus?

Fourth Saturday gaming, 3/26 Re: MOV

I think it is either the heavy easter theme that runs through MOV or its the birthday of someone who has MOV as their favorite game.

April no-foolin', 2nd Saturday Gaming This saturday is the first game day of April! 4/9.

Who's planning on coming by? What would you like to play?
4/20/2016 11:56:38 AM
EPIC gaming this Saturday, April 23 Ok, maybe not EPIC, but I thought if I included it in the title we could get Tim to show up.

Unless, of course, you consider every game day with you fine folks EPIC, which I do.

We'll start at 1pm. Go until, you know, whenever.

Who's coming? Bringing anything interesting? What do you want to play?
4/20/2016 11:58:32 AM
Gaming on May 28th cancelled The standard game day for May 28th is cancelled. No other cancellations are planned.
5/5/2016 5:27:43 PM
Board games, May 14 I'm trying to come up with some kind of "May the Fourth be with you" but for the 14th and boardgaming, but I am coming up short.

who's up for some gaming next Saturday, the 14th? What would you like to play? How about 1pm?

And call your mother or hug some mother on Sunday, if you can. They're pretty cool.

Board games, May 14 Ha, actually, I just got confused and was thinking it was time for the regular scheduled game day. That's funny.

WashingCon Unfortunately during an ABG game day, but maybe I'll come by on Sunday... has anyone been in the past?
